The Beatles Ashram Music Festival is held at the historic Chaurasi Kutia (now part of the Rajaji Tiger Reserve), the ashram where The Beatles stayed in 1968 to study Transcendental Meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. This period inspired many of their famous songs including those on the White Album. The festival celebrates this unique musical and spiritual heritage with performances blending Indian classical ragas with contemporary and Western music. Sitar, tabla, and sarod concerts share the stage with acoustic guitar sets and fusion bands. Meditation and music workshops are conducted in the ashram's restored meditation caves and halls. The graffiti-covered ruins provide a surreal and Instagram-worthy backdrop. The festival attracts music lovers, spirituality seekers, and Beatles fans from around the world.
