George Everest Music Festival

The George Everest Music Festival is an open-air music event held at the ruins of Sir George Everest's house and laboratory in Park Estate, Mussoorie. Sir George Everest was the Surveyor General of India after whom Mount Everest is named. The estate sits atop a ridge offering panoramic views of the Doon Valley on one side and the snow-clad Himalayan peaks on the other. The festival features indie rock, electronic, folk fusion, and acoustic performances. Local Garhwali folk musicians collaborate with contemporary artists. The venue comes alive with food trucks, art installations, and craft stalls. The sunset concert, with the Himalayas turning golden and pink in the background, is the festival's signature experience. Limited tickets ensure an intimate and exclusive atmosphere.
