Jageshwar Monsoon Festival

The Jageshwar Monsoon Festival is organized at the UNESCO-nominated Jageshwar Dham temple complex near Almora. Set amidst dense deodar forests and featuring 124 ancient stone temples dating back to the 7th-14th century, Jageshwar provides a mystical backdrop for this cultural celebration. The festival includes classical music concerts by renowned artists, Kathak and Bharatanatyam dance performances, traditional Kumaoni folk music (Hurkiya Bol, Jhora), spiritual discourses by scholars, and art workshops. The monsoon season adds to the ethereal beauty of the venue with mist-laden forests and the sound of temple bells. Evening aarti at the Jageshwar Jyotirlinga temple is a spiritual highlight.
